Cracking the Code: Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice overview webinar

The Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice articulates the customer owned banking sector’s commitment to putting their customers and their customers’ interests first. As the benchmark practice standard for Australia’s customer-owned banking institutions, the Code goes above and beyond the law and represents the sector’s own vision for a “fair go” for the 4.5 million Australians who choose to bank with a credit union, mutual bank, or building society.

To help Code subscribers understand and prepare for implementation of the new Code, the Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) is holding two Code overview webinars. The webinars will include contributions from the Customer Owned Banking Code Compliance Committee, GRC Solutions and consultants Cameron Ralph Khoury, and will:

  • outline the key changes in the 2022 Code
  • discuss breach reporting and compliance, and
  • explain steps you can take to implement the Code in your organisation.
